🍛 NaatiBru Style Recipe: Flaxseed Puttu + Black Chana Kadala Curry
🔸 Flaxseed Puttu (Serves 2)
Ingredients:
½ cup ground flaxseed
¼ cup grated coconut
¼ cup almond flour
Salt
Warm water to moisten
Instructions:
Mix flaxseed, almond flour, and salt.
Sprinkle warm water little by little until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Layer mixture and grated coconut in a puttu maker.
Steam for 5–7 minutes until fluffy.
🔸 Kerala Kadala Curry (Serves 2)
Ingredients:
¾ cup black chana (soaked overnight)
½ onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
¼ cup grated coconut
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp coconut oil, curry leaves, salt
Instructions:
Pressure cook chana until soft.
In a pan, heat coconut oil. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves.
Add onions, tomatoes, turmeric. Sauté till soft.
Add ground coconut + spice mix. Fry gently.
Add cooked chana. Simmer. Garnish with coriander.
